Shahjahanpur: To ensure swift disposal of public grievances and strengthen policing at the grassroots level, Shahjahanpur Police has launched a special doorstep grievance redressal campaign. Under the initiative, complainants will no longer need to make repeated visits to police stations, as police personnel will now reach them directly to register complaints and initiate prompt action.
As per the new system implemented from Sunday night, Police Response Vehicle (PRV) personnel have been directed to visit incident spots, collect written complaints from victims and immediately forward them to the concerned police stations for necessary action.
Additional Superintendent of Police Diksha Bhavare has been appointed nodal officer for the campaign. Under the initiative, all circle officers and station house officers are conducting visits in their respective jurisdictions to address public grievances. Officials said each circle officer has been instructed to visit at least one location daily, while station house officers must visit two locations every day for grievance resolution.
According to police officials, 66 written complaints were received during the last 24 hours till Monday, of which more than half have already been resolved, while action is underway in the remaining cases. During the campaign conducted on May 11, 2026, around 30 complaints received at different police stations across the district were resolved on the spot.
Police officials said the initiative would save complainants from repeated visits to police stations and offices. Under the new arrangement, police teams are visiting complainants at their residences, conducting spot inspections and interacting with both parties to ensure satisfactory resolution of disputes.
