Social Organisations Play a Vital Role in Building a Better Society: Khanna

Uttar Pradesh Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that social organisations play an important role in strengthening the spirit of service and cooperation in society. He was speaking at the oath-taking, talent felicitation and public reception programme organised by VIP Group With Helping Hands at Gandhi Bhawan Auditorium on Saturday.

Khanna said that VIP Group With Helping Hands has been actively involved in social, service and religious activities for the past 11 years. He appreciated the organisation for working among different sections of society and promoting the spirit of service.

He said that social development cannot be achieved through government efforts alone. The participation of responsible citizens and social organisations is equally important in giving momentum to development and social welfare activities.

The minister said that taking an oath as an office-bearer is not merely a formality but a commitment towards society. He urged the office-bearers to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, transparency and honesty.

Khanna also stressed the importance of encouraging talented students. He said that today’s students are the future of the country and the state, and recognition of their achievements boosts their confidence and motivates them to perform better.

He also appreciated the felicitation of individuals and organisations working for social welfare, saying that recognition of good work encourages others to contribute to society. Khanna congratulated the entire VIP Group With Helping Hands team on completing 11 years of continuous service and wished the organisation success in its future initiatives.

 Social Workers and Organisations Honoured

During the programme, individuals and teams associated with various social organisations were honoured for their notable contribution to society. Those felicitated included **Neelam Gupta of Udaan, Prati Gupta of Sankalp, Nidhi Behl and Usha Mishra of Jagriti Sanstha, Sanjay Chopra of Lions Club Pearl, Dr Vijay Johri, Secretary of the Red Cross Society, Dr Gaurav Kaushal of Rotary Club, Saurabh Somvanshi of the APJ Abdul Kalam Committee, social workers Harisharan Bajpai and Abhinav Tiwari, Rajkamal Bajpai of Swabhiman Prahari, and senior journalist Amar Deep Rastogi

Teams representing various social organisations were also honoured for their contribution to community welfare.

The programme also featured the felicitation of hundreds of meritorious students who had excelled in different fields. Their parents were also encouraged on the occasion.

The event was attended by Mayor Archana Verma BJP Mahanagar President Shilpi Gupta representatives of various social organisations, honoured students and their parents, along with a large number of prominent citizens.

At the conclusion of the programme, Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna was given a public reception with flower petals and presented a memento by VIP Group With Helping Hands.
