Shahjahanpur:
Additional District Magistrate Arvind Kumar conducted an intensive night inspection of sugarcane-laden vehicles across the district, during which more than two dozen trucks were found violating prescribed norms.

During the drive, several vehicles were detected carrying sugarcane beyond the permissible height, while some were operating without mandatory reflectors. Challans were issued against all defaulting vehicles.

The inspection was carried out in the presence of the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) and the District Sugarcane Officer. The offending vehicles were intercepted on the Kant–Shahjahanpur, Nigohi–Puranpur and Shahjahanpur roads.
On the occasion Bureau
ADM Arvind Kumar said
advisories have already been issued to all General Managers and Unit Heads of sugar mills, clearly directing them to ensure that sugarcane trucks do not indulge in over-height loading and that no vehicle is allowed to ply without reflectors. He further asserted that such enforcement action will continue on a regular basis to ensure road safety and strict compliance with transport regulations.
