Shahjahanpur: A joint monthly meeting of the Samajwadi Party’s district unit and the metropolitan unit was held at the party’s district office on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by District President Tanveer Khan. The main objective of the meeting was to review preparations ahead of the publication of the draft electoral rolls on January 6, following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process across all six विधानसभा constituencies of Shahjahanpur district. Party leaders instructed Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and booth in-charges to carefully verify voter lists at their respective booths to ensure that no eligible voter’s name is left out and that necessary corrections are made. Emphasis was also laid on facilitating the registration of new voters. The meeting also witnessed discussions on local issues, particularly the shortage of fertilisers for farmers in Shahjahanpur, with party leaders expressing concern over the difficulties faced by the farming community. Senior party workers and office-bearers from both units were present at the meeting.
