Shahjahanpur- Action for Laxity in Voter Revision: Explanations Sought from Two Officers, Services of Two BLOs Terminated

A meeting regarding the ongoing *Special Intensive Voter Revision–2026* for *Assembly Constituency 136 Dadraul* was held at the Bismil Auditorium of the Collectorate under the chairmanship of **District Election Officer
Dharmendra Pratap Singh
On Wednesday.
During the meeting, hearings were conducted on notices issued to no-mapping voters, and discussions were held on the decisions to be taken in such cases.

Taking a serious view of negligence in voter revision work, explanations were sought from *Assistant Electoral Registration Officers Sumit Saxena and Suresh Bahadur Singh. At the same time, instructions were issued to terminate the services of **BLOs Rachna Kushwaha and Shashi Lata*.

The District Magistrate directed that all notices issued to voters must clearly mention the *place, date and time of hearing. He further instructed that the **presence of the Panchayat Secretary and the concerned BLO* during hearings is mandatory to ensure proper verification of documents.

He also made it clear that *no leave will be granted to any officer or employee till March 6, 2026*. Necessary documents must be obtained at the time of issuing notices, and supervisors must ensure that all required papers are duly collected.

The District Magistrate directed that hearings on all notices should be *completed by February 10*. If required, hearings may also be conducted at polling booths.

*Sub-District Election Officer/Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Rajnish Kumar Mishra* and other concerned officials were present at the meeting.
