Shahjahanpur । A Gentleman , District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh on Tuesday earned widespread appreciation from the media fraternity after holding an interactive meeting with journalists at the Press Club, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to press welfare and constructive dialogue.
In a rare display of openness, the District Magistrate attentively heard suggestions and concerns raised by journalists, particularly those related to public interest and social responsibility, and assured them of time-bound action on feasible proposals.
Highlighting the importance of a strong and independent media, Mr. Singh also announced the launch of multiple new facilities at the Press Club aimed at improving working conditions and safeguarding the interests of journalists.
Media representatives termed the initiative progressive and reassuring, noting that such direct engagement strengthens trust, transparency, and cooperation between the administration and the press.
The move is being seen as a significant step towards fostering a collaborative and accountable governance environment.
