Shahjahanpur District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh on Thursday paid floral tributes to Kakori Train Action martyrs Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan and Thakur Roshan Singh on the occasion of Balidan Diwas. Municipal Commissioner Dr Vipin Kumar Mishra accompanied him.

The DM offered garlands at the statues of Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil and Thakur Roshan Singh and laid a ceremonial chadar at the mausoleum of Ashfaqulla Khan, paying homage to their sacrifice for the country’s freedom.

Addressing officials present at the event, Singh said the nation must always remember the supreme sacrifice of such revolutionaries, whose courage and patriotism continue to inspire generations.

The programme was organised at Shaheed Udyan, located in the Municipal Corporation premises near Town Hall. Additional Municipal Commissioner S K Singh, City Magistrate Pravendra Kumar and other officials were present.
