Pilibhit । In a significant operation, three Khalistani terrorists involved in a grenade attack on a police post in Gurudaspur, Punjab, were killed in an encounter by the combined forces of the Pilibhit and Punjab police. The terrorists, identified as Pratap Singh, Virendra Singh, and Gurvinder Singh, residents of Gurudaspur, had earlier attacked the Bakhsiwala police post with a grenade before fleeing the scene.
On Monday morning, after receiving intelligence about the terrorists hiding in the Puranpur area, a joint operation was launched. When the police cornered the terrorists, they opened fire on the officers. During the gunfight, two police personnel – SOG constable Shahnawaz Hussain and Sumit Kumar from Madhotanda police station – were injured.
