Shahjahanpur ।A police constable riding a motorcycle in city area tragically lost his life after his neck was cut by a Chinese manja (kite string), police officer said
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Kumar Sagar, the incident occurred on Saturday morning in Azizganj under the Kotwali police station. Constable Shah Rukh Khan (28), who was riding a motorcycle, got entangled in a Chinese manja, which severed his neck. Despite being rushed to the Government Medical College in critical condition, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Sagar informed that the deceased, Shah Rukh Khan, was stationed at the police lines and hailed from Baldaana Hira Singh village in Amroha.
Despite a ban on Chinese manja, its illegal sale continues, and S.P. city Sagar said
a team has been formed to target the underground trade of the dangerous kite string. An intensive campaign will be launched against those involved in selling it, with strict legal action against the offenders police sent body to postmortem.
