Shahjahanpur: । Congress party wing NSUI activist staged a strong protest against the controversial statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday
On the occasion , a large number of NSUI workers gathered at the party office, Rajiv
Bhawan Town Hall, and began to march outside with a effigy of Mohan Bhagwat. Sadar bazar police force surrounded them and attempted to forcibly seize the effigy. This led to a prolonged scuffle, as the workers held on tightly, with the effigy eventually being broken into pieces. The police then took the parts of the effigy and placed them in their vehicle. The angry workers continued to raise slogans for a long time.
At the time District Vice President Pratyush Mishra, City President Anubhav Kataria, Mohsin Khan, Ashish Tiwari, Sumit Singh, Parvez Ahmed, Anil Kumar, Rahil Ansari, Roopam Dixit, and Ram Singh were also present during the protest, along with several activist were present.
