Members of Lions Club Saheli visited to Jail and celebrate the festival with prisoners and jail staff.
On the occasion jail officers, and prisoners
inmates were tied rakhis by the lions sisters. all necessary arrangements made by the jail authorities.
At the time Jail superintendent,Mijazi Lal said, “Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of love between brothers and sisters. Sisters tie rakhis on their brothers’ wrists, wishing them a bright future, long life and good health, while brothers pledge to protect their sisters in all circumstances.” He said
jail duty staff unable to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their sisters due to being in jail. While some sisters manage to send rakhis by post, the emotional experience of celebrating together is often missed,” he added.
