District magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh, along with the additional District magistrate Arvind Kumar and conducted a surprise inspection of the flood-affected area and relief camps at Primary School Salarpur on Thursday to assess arrangements and provide necessary instructions to officials.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate received updates via telephone and informed that the water level in the Khannaut River is expected to rise by approximately 3 feet on August 7. He urged residents living in low-lying areas to remain vigilant and make necessary arrangements to move their belongings to safer locations to avoid potential damage.
The DM closely assessed the rising water situation and issued necessary instructions to concerned officials. He also reviewed the preparedness of relief measures including flood relief camps, flood outposts, availability of boats, and medical facilities.

Emphasizing the importance of timely action, Singh directed all officials to ensure there is no negligence in relief operations. He instructed all teams to remain alert and for officers to continuously monitor the situation by visiting their respective areas. He also stressed the need to keep the public regularly informed about changing water levels
