Shahjahanpur: District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh conducted an inspection of the under-construction sports stadium in the district. Players associated with the Khelo India scheme extended a warm welcome to him on the occasion.

During the visit, the District Magistrate reviewed the progress of key facilities, including the swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall, indoor kabaddi hall, synthetic basketball court, 400-metre athletic track, pavilion, and other allied infrastructure. He directed the executing agency to expedite the construction work and ensure that the stadium is handed over to the sports department at the earliest, with strict adherence to quality standards.

Sports equipment was also distributed in the presence of officials and players during the programme.

The 400-metre synthetic track and swimming pool are being constructed at an estimated cost of around ₹16 crore, while approximately ₹10.36 crore is being spent on the development of other facilities.
