Shahjahanpur: A special Facebook Live session titled “Haq Ki Baat – With the District Magistrate” was organised under Mission Shakti 5.0 at the camp office auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh.
The interactive session focused on crucial issues such as sexual violence, gender inequality, domestic abuse, female foeticide, workplace harassment, and dowry-related violence. The objective of the programme was to spread awareness among women and girls about the available protection mechanisms, legal aid, and support systems, and to encourage dialogue on gender-related concerns.
During the live session, the District Magistrate patiently listened to and responded to questions posed by women and girls. He emphasised the need for education and empowerment of girls, urging them to strengthen their self-confidence and become independent.
Several issues related to women’s safety and rights were raised during the interaction. The DM also discussed prevailing social challenges over phone calls with concerned officials and directed them to ensure prompt redressal of grievances.
The event was broadcast live on Facebook, where numerous women and girls shared their views and suggestions through comments. The District Magistrate assured that all problems brought to his attention during the programme would be addressed at the earliest.
