Shahjahanpur District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh along with Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Kumar Mishra, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Arvind Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner SK Singh, Executive Engineer Sharda Canal Sunil Bhaskar along with other officials reached Hanumat Dham of Khannaut River and Azizganj of Garra River, Rai Kheda embankment at around 8:30 pm and inspected the rising water level situation. The district magistrate said that 02 feet of water can rise in the Garra river in 12 to 15 hours, even then there is no problem. He said everyone should be cautious. People living in low-lying areas should keep an eye on the water level. People keep their belongings safe and it will be better to shift to the shelters, the next 24 hours have to be very alert, take care of yourself and stay safe.
The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to continue the necessary action. The District Magistrate directed the Health Department to exercise special vigilance, medical teams and flood posts to remain active.
The district magistrate instructed that preparations should be completed in view of the rising water level. All rescue relief teams should be active in the flood, the affected people should be alerted. The district magistrate instructed the officials not to be negligent at any level. All relief teams were travelling in their respective areas. Keep the general public aware of the rising water level.
