Shahjahanpur: District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh conducted a site inspection of the under-construction new Municipal Corporation building complex in view of the preparations for the inaugural programme of the 12th International Yoga Day, scheduled to be held on June 15.
During the inspection, the District Magistrate reviewed the arrangements being made at the venue and assessed the progress of the ongoing construction work. He directed the concerned officials and representatives of the executing agency to ensure that all necessary arrangements and construction-related works are completed within the stipulated time and with the desired quality standards before the inaugural event.
He also instructed officials to make adequate arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, electricity supply, seating facilities and other essential amenities at the programme venue.
Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of construction work, the District Magistrate sought details from the contractor regarding the number of workers deployed at the site and the timeline for completion of the project. He issued clear instructions to expedite the work and ensure that the construction is completed within the prescribed deadline.
The District Magistrate stated that the inaugural programme being organised on the occasion of International Yoga Day is of significant importance for the district. Therefore, no shortcomings should remain in the arrangements at the venue. He directed all concerned departments to work in coordination and complete the preparations well in time.
