IN A Symbolic gesture to promote the safety, respect, and self-reliance of women and girls,
Anamika Verma was appointed as the one-day District Magistrate by District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh during the ‘Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas’ at Tehsil Tilhar. Anamika, a top student from Class 12 at Sarvahitayashi Inter College in Nigohi, is currently pursuing her undergraduate studies in Shahjahanpur.
During her brief tenure, Anamika emphasized the importance of self-belief among girls, urging them not to consider themselves weak. “Work hard in your studies and make your parents proud,” she stated while addressing the public grievances during the event.
District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh announced the launch of a special campaign under Mission Shakti Phase 5.0 coinciding with the Sharadiya Navratri festival. He highlighted the initiative’s focus on women’s safety, respect, and empowerment, stating that various activities will be conducted over a 90-day period starting from October 3, 2024, with the participation of multiple departments.
