MoU Signed Between Uttar Pradesh Government and Mumukshu Ashram Trust

Shahjahanpur  A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Mumukshu Ashram Trust for the establishment of Swami Shukdevanand State University in Shahjahanpur.
The agreement was signed at the office of the Principal Secretary for Higher Education in Lucknow. M.P. Agrawal, Principal Secretary of Higher Education, signed on behalf of the state government, while Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati, Chief Patron of the Mumukshu Ashram, signed on behalf of the trust.
during the signing ceremony were Nidhi Srivastava (Special Secretary, Higher Education), Ramjanam Singh (Deputy Secretary, Higher Education), Anmol Singh, Munendra Kumar, and from the trust side, Dr. Avneesh Kumar Mishra, Dr. Ramniwas Gupta, Ravi Shankar Bajpai, and Saket Chaturvedi.
This MoU marks a major milestone in implementing the cabinet decision for the establishment of the university. With this agreement, Shahjahanpur has made its mark on the global educational map. The Mumukshu Education Complex will soon be officially recognized as Swami Shukdevanand State University.
The Mumukshu Ashram Trust has transferred movable and immovable assets worth approximately ₹1.08 billion (Rs. 108.03 crore) to the state government for the establishment of the university.
The foundation of this initiative dates back to 1964, when Swami Shukdevanand established S.S. College. After six decades of academic service, the college is now poised to evolve into a full-fledged state university — fulfilling the long-standing vision of Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati.
Under the Mumukshu Ashram Trust, the following institutions currently operate:
Swami Shukdevanand College,Swami Shukdevanand Law College, Shri Daivi Sampada Brahmacharya Sanskrit College,Swami Dharmanand Saraswati Inter College,Shri Shankar Mumukshu Vidyapeeth
All these institutions will be integrated into the newly formed Swami Shukdevanand State University.
