DM Launches Bhainsi River Revival Drive in Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur:* District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh inaugurated the Bhainsi River revival campaign
On Friday.
. The campaign aims to restore the Dallelapur stream of the Bhainsi River before the monsoon season.

Bhainsi River revival work is being carried out under the Uttar Pradesh government’s “One District, One River” campaign. Stressing the importance of plantation, DM said trees help strengthen the soil and improve water retention, which ultimately increases groundwater levels and maintains ecological balance.
Singh said thOne District–One River” programme launched on the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, around 55 to 56 kilometres of the river had already been excavated successfully with public participation and administrative support.
He said the campaign began in June last year with an initial target of 35 to 36 kilometres. However, due to strong public cooperation, the work was extended to 55 kilometres and completed within 15 to 20 days.
The DM said excavation work on the river’s second stream, measuring around 25 to 26 kilometres, has now begun. The administration has set a target to complete the work within the next 10 to 15 days.
At the time He directed ADM-, SDM- and BDO-level officers to regularly inspect the site and ensure timely completion of the project. He also appealed to villagers to actively participate in the campaign as they did earlier.

Singh said effort is continue and good news will be come to May 20. collective effort of administration and public achieve positive results.
DM said natural water flow in the river could return within the next four to five years. He added that restoring ecological balance takes time and requires continuous efforts in water conservation and plantation.

The DM informed that nearly 40,000 to 50,000 saplings would be planted along the riverbank this year. Protective fencing will also be installed in plantation areas to ensure the safety of the saplings.

. remember it , Last year, excavation work carried out in areas such as Pannaghat and Gangsara in Powayan tehsil with the support of social organisations and local residents. After the rains, water flow was seen in the Bhainsi River again, bringing relief and happiness to local people.
