District Magistrate Conducts Surprise Inspection of Registrar and Marriage Registration Office
District Magistrate Umesh Pratap Singh conducted an unscheduled inspection of the Registrar and Marriage Registration Office in the sadar office. During the visit, the District Magistrate reviewed attendance registers, filing cabinets, maintenance, documents, and cleanliness of various rooms, providing necessary directives.
The District Magistrate inquired about the purpose of the presence of individuals in the office. He noted that fourth-grade employee Sanjay Kumar was found wandering and not displaying his identification card, leading to instructions for Registrar Arun Kumar Gupta to implement a charge-sheet system.
Due to improper document maintenance and unsatisfactory office cleanliness, the District Magistrate directed Registrar Arun Kumar Gupta to provide an explanation. The District Magistrate also expressed dissatisfaction with a non-functional CCTV camera and instructed for its repair.
District Magistrate emphasized that all officials and employees must display their identification cards and ensure that no unauthorized persons are present on the premises. He reviewed the work at each counter and inspected the disorganized documents in the cabinets, showing strong displeasure and directing the Registrar to maintain records systematically.
Additionally, he interviewed individuals and witnesses involved in property transactions to ensure there were no inconveniences. The District Magistrate advised staff to keep the office clean and perform their duties effectively. He also mandated timely attendance and efficient completion of tasks, warning that legal action would be taken in case of negligence or laxity in government work.
