Shahjahanpur:- District Magistrate Visits Flood-Affected Areas..
District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh conducted an inspection of the flood-affected regions of Jalalabad on Tuesday.
During his visit, the DM toured the villages of Kasari Kala, Kasari, Tikola, and the Kola flood post, walking approximately 2 kilometers with relevant officials to assess the situation firsthand. He engaged with villagers to understand their concerns and the extent of water level increases since the previous day.
DM instructed local officials to address reported issues promptly. He directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Utkarsh Anand to maintain a constant presence in the affected areas and ensure assistance is provided to impacted families.
The DM emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of water levels, instructing village accountants and heads to send updates and photographs to the SDM. He also mandated that the accountant remain on-site overnight. In response to villagers’ requests for additional boats for transportation, the DM ordered arrangements to provide extra boats as soon as possible.
SDM। have been directed to regularly inspect their respective areas and enhance resources as necessary. The District Magistrate assured that comprehensive safety measures are in place and that relief teams are on high alert, monitoring the situation closely. Current reports indicate that water levels have stabilized.
