Shahjahanpur,  The Gavishti (Cow Protection) Yatra led by Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand reached Shahjahanpur on Thursday as part of its campaign seeking the declaration of the cow as the “Rashtra Mata” (Mother of the Nation).

pass through Tilhar, Katra, Jalalabad and Kant before arriving at Prasad Bhavan at around 4 p.m.
According to information
Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand is scheduled to address a press conference at the residence of senior Samajwadi Party leader and former MLC Kunwar Jayesh Prasad.
District shahjahanpur Several devotees and local residents are also expected to meet the seer and seek his blessings during the visit.
A Dharm Sabha* (religious congregation) will be held in Prasad Bhavan premises. At the time Organisers expect hundreds of devotees to attend the event. Preparations for the gathering have been completed, with marquees and other arrangements already in place.
The yatra is also being viewed as politically significant for Shahjahanpur ahead of the forthcoming elections, in addition to its stated objective of promoting cow protection and raising awareness about its demand for the cow to be declared the “Rashtra Mata.”
