SHAHJAHANPUR, The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET)-2026 commenced smoothly across Shahjahanpur district on Wednesday under tight security arrangements. The examination was conducted at nine centres in the district ,authorities ensuring the peaceful and transparent conduct of the recruitment test.
Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Rajneesh Mishra inspected several examination centres and inspected security measures, seating arrangements, and other logistical facilities. He instructed officials to strictly adhere to the examination guidelines and ensure a fair and hassle-free examination process.
According to official figures, 3,791 candidates were scheduled to appear for the examination. Of them, 3,289 candidates appeared while 502 remained absent .resulting in an overall attendance of 86.8 per cent.
The examination conducted at G.F. College (Block-A), G.F. College (Block-B), Jana Inter College, Arya Mahila PG College, Arya Mahila Inter College, Abbie Rich Inter College, Devi Prasad Inter College, Islamia Inter College, and Sri Hari Kumar Pathak Kanya Inter College
Officials said the examination concluded peacefully without any reports of disruption. The examination process was coordinated under the supervision of Centre Incharge Coordinator Anamika Shukla while district authorities maintained close monitoring at all centres to ensure the integrity and smooth conduct of the examination.
