Shahjahanpur: A new administrative chapter began at Swami Shukdevanand University on Saturday as noted academician *Prof. Pushpendra Bahadur Singh* officially took charge as the Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Before assuming office, he met *Swami Chinmayanand Saraswati*, Chief Patron of the Mumukshu Education Complex. After this, he formally assumed charge as the first Vice-Chancellor, marking a significant step in the university’s administrative progress.
The university campus witnessed a joyful and dignified atmosphere during the ceremony. Senior faculty members, heads of departments, teachers, and non-teaching staff warmly welcomed the new Vice-Chancellor.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Singh said that his priority would be to establish the university as a center of academic excellence, research, innovation, and moral values. He emphasized the overall development of students through modern education combined with India’s traditional knowledge system.
He said that education is not only a means of earning a degree but also the foundation of nation-building. He added that the university can achieve greater heights through the collective efforts of teachers, staff, and students.
Prof. Singh has more than *35 years of experience* in teaching, research, and administration. Before this appointment, he was serving as Professor and Dean in the Faculty of Business Management at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University.
In the field of research, he has published more than *110 research papers, completed several research projects, and participated in over **100 national and international conferences*. He has also visited countries such as United Arab Emirates, Oman, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Nepal for academic and research activities.
He has also successfully handled several important administrative responsibilities at Rohilkhand University.
