Banda: To ensure strict compliance with traffic rules, Banda Police has been conducting continuous checking at various locations across the district. Along with on-ground enforcement, CCTV cameras have also been activated at multiple points to monitor violations.
Taking firm action against those repeatedly breaking traffic rules, the police issued challans to 32,578 vehicles between 01 November 2025 and 30 November 2025, collecting a total penalty of ₹3,80,56,900.
According to police data, the highest number of violations were for not wearing helmets, with 28,536 vehicles booked. Other major violations include:
Without seatbelt: 868 vehicles
Without driving licence: 1,046 vehicles
Using mobile phone while driving: 272 vehicles
Triple riding: 1,797 vehicles
No-parking / wrong parking: 974 vehicles
Improper or illegal number plates: 485 vehicles
Overspeeding: 51 vehicles
Black film on windows: 43 vehicles
Drunken driving: 30 vehicles
During this enforcement drive, 38 vehicles without valid documents were also seized by the police.
The Banda Police has stated that such strict action will continue to ensure road safety and reduce accidents in the district.
