An operation under the leadership of additional District magistrate , against major loan defaulters,
According to information Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Arvind Kumar sealed the rice mill and brick kiln belonging to Narendra Singh block Khudaganj under Tilhar tehsil on Wednesday.
ADM said Narendra Singh listed among the district’s top ten defaulters—owes around ₹2.03 crore to the Civil Supplies Department since 2014 and an additional ₹2 crore to a bank. His Singh Rice Mill, located in Majhila, was sealed and a confiscation notice board was put up at its gate. The ADM ordered that the mill, along with its warehouses and other assets, remain under official seal. The property has been scheduled for auction on November 28.
Authorities have also attached 30 land plots registered in Singh’s name. To inform the public, announcements regarding the auction were made throughout Majhila village via loudspeakers and drum beating.
In addition, the defaulter’s Singh Brick Kiln, situated in Kuan Danda village, Tilhar tehsil, was sealed and its machinery locked. The ADM instructed the Tehsildar to inform the electricity and water departments to disconnect all utility connections of the seized mill and kiln. He further directed officials to trace and attach any other movable or immovable properties of the defaulter for recovery.
The ADM also ordered proceedings under the SARFAESI Act against the loan guarantors, allowing attachment and auction of their properties if recovery is not made.
ADM Arvind Kumar stated that a special drive has been launched against major defaulters in the district. “If any defaulter has transferred property to another person’s name, such transactions will be cancelled, and the land will be vested with the state government,” he said, adding that the campaign will continue.
