Shahjahanpur,June 24: Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Rajneesh Kumar Mishra on Wednesday chaired a review meeting and directed officials to ensure peaceful and incident-free observance of Muharram across the district.
He said Muharram procession will be held in various police station areas and stressed the need for heightened vigilance in sensitive and mixed-population localities. The ADM instructed officials to verify the height of Tazias, ensure cleanliness and lighting on procession routes, remove obstacles and make necessary arrangements for public safety and traffic management. He also ordered barricading on major roads and highway and directed all departments to work in coordination for the smooth conduct of the festival.
