Shahjahanpur ।
In a major action against unrecognized private schools, the district administration of Shahjahanpur sealed three schools operating without proper authorization and imposed a fine of ₹1 lakh on each. All students from these institutions were promptly transferred to nearby government schools.

Led by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Arvind Kumar and the Basic Education Officer, the crackdown took place in the Jalalabad tehsil area on Friday. During the inspection, the officials thoroughly examined records and infrastructure of the unregistered schools.

One of the schools, Gyan Deep School in Yakubpur, was found operating under a tin shed with 33 students. The teachers employed there had qualifications no higher than Intermediate (12th grade) or a Bachelor’s degree (BA). Another school, named International Delhi Public School, was also operating without recognition. A third unnamed and unregistered school was found running in the village of Khandhar, with 41 children enrolled.

Following the inspection, the administration sealed all three schools and imposed a ₹1 lakh penalty on each. Students from Gyan Deep School were shifted to Yakubpur Primary School, while those from the Khandhar school were relocated to the government school in Sambeeliyan.

In a compassionate gesture, ADM Arvind Kumar arranged for a traditional welcome for the children, including a ceremonial tilak and breakfast. The Block Education Officer was directed to ensure mid-day meal arrangements and the safe transportation of all students to their homes.
