Shahjahanpur । District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh held a meeting to preparation for Civil Defence Mock Drill .
During the meeting, the DM conducted a detailed review of the arrangements and issued necessary directives to all officials. He instructed police officers, magistrates, and the CMO to form dedicated teams to ensure effective implementation of the drill. DM emphasized the importance of assigning clear roles to avoid confusion during the exercise.primary goal of the mock drill is to increase public awareness about precautions during emergency situation ,
DM D.P.Singh said complete blackout will be observed in Shahjahanpur district from 8:00 PM to 8:10 PM tonight. Citizens
to switch off all lights, close windows and doors securely, refrain from any outdoor activity, and remain safely indoors during the drill. People on the roads are advised to stop their vehicles at the roadside, turn off headlights, and remain stationary for the 10-minute duration.

A siren will sound at 7:59 PM to signal the start of the blackout in urban area.
DM highlighted that this exercise is an important step in strengthening civil preparedness and will serve as a test of the district emergency response capabilities. He also remarked that the drill symbolizes cooperation with and respect for the armed forces, who vigilantly guard the nation’s borders.
DMurged all residents to cooperate fully, not to spread or believe in rumors, and to avoid any panic or stampede-like situations. In case of an actual emergency, people are advised to avoid staying in open areas and to take shelter under sturdy furniture indoors, such as tables or beds. Travelers should immediately stop and seek the nearest safe shelter.
At the time Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Kumar Mishra, Additional District Magistrate (Finance & Revenue) Arvind Kumar, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Sanjay Kumar Pandey were present.
