The district administration has intensified its stance on encroachments in the Chowk area. On Monday, following directives from District Magistrate Dharmendra Pratap Singh, ADM (Finance) Arvind Kumar inspected the proposed corridor site on Maa Durga Temple Road in Bhardwaji locality, accompanied by municipal officials and councillor Seema Saraswat.

During the inspection, officials identified encroachments around the corridor site and engaged with shopkeepers and local residents. The administration has clearly instructed that all encroachments must be voluntarily removed within three days, by April 17, failing which the Municipal Corporation will carry out demolition.

ADM (Finance) stated that illegal encroachments within the municipal limits have been marked and affected individuals have been urged to comply voluntarily. He warned that after the deadline, removal will be executed using JCB machinery.

It is noteworthy that the District Magistrate and Municipal Commissioner had also inspected the site two days earlier, directing removal of illegal structures hindering the corridor project, following which enforcement has been expedited.
