3 Arrested For Religious Conversions in shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur । Three were arrested on suspicion of religious conversions in shahjahanpur
The accused were allegedly luring Hindus to convert to Christianity under the guise of prayer meetings, police said.
A large number of books were recovered .
Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Dwivedi said on Saturday Siddhauli police station had launched an investigation following a complaint by a Hindu organization.

The complaint alleged that Kiran Joshua, a resident of the local town, was conducting prayer sessions at her home, attracting people who were struggling with health problems, infertility, financial distress, and domestic issues.

According to SP Dwivedi, Kiran had gained a reputation for these prayer services, and large crowds would gather at her residence, especially on Sundays. During these sessions, it is alleged that people were subjected to “mind-washing” under the guise of healing and were subsequently encouraged to convert to Christianity.
The accused were identified as Prahlad, Mukesh Valmiki, Gurdas Valmiki, Sana, Vimla, Aarti, and Rajwati. police arrested Padam Nabhan (45) from Tamil Nadu, Kiran Joshua (37) from Lakhimpur Kheri, and Ashneet Kumar (25) from Shahjahanpur. All have been sent to jail as the investigation continues.
